Summer was painted on our skin

The title of this journal is a toppic that we had to write about for our final essay in english.  I thought that this was one of my better pieces of writing(and everyone says i have a future in writing), so i decided to have a copie of it made.  Comment on what you think of it!

They say that too much of a good thing is bad.  Well that is a true statement.  “A person who loves obsessively may destroy that object of his/her love,” is the exact reason why.  People who love excessively will become overwhelmed and trapped into an obsession in which they cannot escape. 

            Love can be complicated.  Many are not sure why, but there is something that attracts them to someone like nothing else.  Love is genuine and pure, but too much can mean just the opposite.  One may find themselves prostituting themselves, but for better or for worse?  To have a better understanding of their love or to please them?  Even though one may realize they are in an unhealthy obsession, they keep coming back for more.  They can’t stop.  They are addicted to love and love is like a drug attic’s cocaine.  They want to be with them forever and not let go.  The say, “let’s fly away to Never Never Land so we don’t grow old.”  But reality punches the obsessed lover in the stomach.  They feel sick and depressed because their love wasn’t meant to last.  Expectations run too high and the lover just wants to die.  The lover will sever all ties.  The lover will sever all ties in hopes to forget about the obsession.  Forget about all their feelings they once had and cover them up with hate.  But what has caused this lovers fate?  It’s not the obsession, it’s the obsessed.  The obsession just sits back and watches the lover fall to pieces.  So when this statement is asked, I say yes.  A person who loves obsessively may destroy the object of his or her love.  They also may end up destroying their self.

            If someone is madly in love, is there anything one won’t do for their love?  Be careful with such a delicate find.  Becoming overly obsessed is easy.  Be careful because the one thing you truly love may be destroyed.
