its not gossip if its the truth- part 1

Alright, this is my first fan fic. thing so go easy on me... i hope you enjoy. i will probably post a new one tomarrow. tell me what you think.

While pulling into Wawa on a dark and stormy evening I sat in the car for a moment to brace myself for the cold hard rain.  I looked around, and all around me, pelted beads of water; my windshield wipers franticly whooshing back and forth, back and forth.  I haven’t had my drivers licenses for very long.  I just turned sixteen when my mom gave me her Saturn.  It’s in good condition; only about five years old, silver, and plastic.  At least it works, and doesn’t look like a piece of shit like the rest of the cars that the kids drive at my high school.  I took a deep breath, turned off the radio, opened the door and bolted for the entrance.  I ran past a white van and an old man headed to his car, helplessly dodging the rain.  Luckily I got a parking space close to the door.  I opened it and felt a welcoming blast of warmth as I walked in.  The smell of old coffee filled my nostrils.  I smiled at the man standing behind the counter and in exchange I got an evil glance out of the corner of his eye, which went back to his magazine.  ‘The whether must be getting to everyone’, I assumed.  It has been like this for almost a week now.  I proceeded to the back of the store, set on getting my favorite drink: vitamin water.  I kept my eyes down.  I was pretty tired.  I looked up as I neared the fridge.  I hated touching those handles.  They were always so dirty and do you know how many people touch them each day?  And if you haven’t noticed, the people that go into Wawa aren’t exactly the cleanliest.  I pulled down the sleeve of my hoodie to my fingers and wrapped my covered hand around the handle.  I Looked up and down the fridge, trying to decide which flavor I should get… Pink, Or Cran-Apple?  Cran-Apple.  I looked over as I noticed someone walking over to the fridge next to mine.  He had strawberry blonde hair, side burns, a camouflage hat, and green eyes.  I silently gasped.  My heart was pounding.  I began to pretend to read the label of my vitamin water so it seemed like I didn’t notice him.  ‘What do I do?  Should I say something? Oh my god, this can’t be happening!  Sarah, just say hi to him, and try not to freak out or be too weird.’ I was panicking; running a million thoughts threw my head.  He opened the fridge looked at his options and grabbed a Dr. Pepper.  Before he could pull his hand out of the fridge, a familiar voice sounded from around the corner.  “Hey Patrick, do you want some candy or something?”  I looked over to where the voice was coming from.  A head peered out of the isle behind from where Patrick and I stood.  By now I thought I was going to faint.
